What we store

If you join the waitlist, we keep the email address you type and, if you pick one, how many plants you care for (1 to 5, 6 to 20, or 21 or more). We use the email once, to tell you when Watercan opens. It does not go on a newsletter.

We also record anonymous usage events: which pages load, which buttons are pressed, which questions are opened and how far down the page you scroll, along with the link that brought you here (such as an ad campaign tag). These events carry a random session id and a random browser id kept in a cookie, so we can see how one visit moved through the page. They never contain your email, and we do not use them to work out who you are.

Vercel Web Analytics also counts page visits in aggregate.

What we do not do

We do not sell any of this, share it with advertisers, or add you to anyone else's list.

Deleting your data

To have your email and plant count removed, reply to the launch email and we will delete them.
